No one succeeds in life entirely on their own – we all need a little help along the way. For entrepreneurs, this help often comes in the form of friends. We all need new friends at different points in our lives. But is having friends really necessary for success? Let’s take a closer look at the role of friendship in business and explore whether or not it’s something you really need to be successful.
Friends are important for a number of reasons, but chief among them is that they can provide support when times get tough. When you’re starting your own business, there will inevitably be times when you hit a roadblock or experience a setback. At these moments, it’s helpful to have someone who understands what you’re going through and can offer encouragement and advice. Friends also act as sounding boards. For successful women, having a strong circle of girlfriends is essential to maintaining our sanity. But what happens when your current support system reaches its limit?
Here are four reasons why you need new friends at certain stages in your life:
- When you’re starting a new business, it’s important to reach out to other entrepreneurs and build relationships with them. They can offer advice and support, and they’ll understand what you’re going through.
- When you’re going through a tough time, it’s helpful to have friends who will listen without judgment. New friends can provide unbiased support and advice.
- New friends keep us mentally healthy. Friendship is a key factor in maintaining mental health and preventing loneliness and depression.
- New friends help us stay active socially. Staying connected with others is vital to our physical health – it can help reduce stress levels and even improve our immune system function!
Making new friends is one of the best things about being an adult. You get to choose your friends, and you get to be selective about who you let into your life. But as we get older, it’s not always easy to find new friends. We’re busy with work and family obligations, and our social circles tend to shrink over time. That’s why it’s important to make new friends at certain stages in our lives.
Here are four times when it’s especially important to add some new faces to our friend group:
1) When we move to a new city
2) When we start a new job
3) When we have kids
4) When we retire
Friends are important for our overall happiness and well-being.
We all know that friends are important for our overall happiness and well-being. But what is it about having friends that makes them so valuable? Researchers have found that friendships provide us with a sense of security, support, and connectedness. These feelings help us cope with stress and adversity in our lives, which in turn helps to improve our mental health. So if you’re feeling stressed out or down, don’t forget the importance of your friendships – reach out to your friends for support! They’ll be happy to listen (and may need someone to lend a listening ear themselves from time to time). 🙂
If reaching out feels unfamiliar I get it. It can be a learning a process to recognize and needs and then actually do something like reach out for support. We say we want more intimacy in our lives and yet we resist the vulnerability and transparency that will get us there. To be fair some of reasons why we resist these things is due to our past stories around what happened the last time we embraced those attributes.
I can remember being in middle school and sharing a deep dark family secret with my two closest friends. The end result of that vulnerability ended in rejection, fear and loss of friendship. The message I took away from that its not welcome or safe to let people know your true journey because they will abandon you over it. It took me years of testing people and situations out and feeling safe in order to overcome the damage that encounter had in my life. Was it worth the effort? Absolutely! Today I am stepping into really awesome connections that I get tremendous benefit and growth from.
We go through different stages in life, and each stage requires different types of friends.
We all go through different stages in life, and each stage requires different types of support. As entrepreneurs, we often have to be our own support system; but it’s important to remember that we can’t do it alone. We need to reach out to others for guidance and mentorship, especially during the challenging times. Successful women know this too, and they’re not afraid to ask for help when they need it. So if you’re feeling lost or stuck in your business, don’t be afraid to seek out advice from those who have been there before. There is no shame in admitting that you need help, and chances are you’ll be surprised by how willing people are to offer their support. Trust me, I know from experience!
It’s necessary to let some friendships go in order to make room for new ones.
When you’re an entrepreneur, your time is precious. You don’t have time for friendships that don’t add value to your life. Sometimes you have to let go of old ones in order to make room for new ones. Those new friendships will help you grow and succeed. Don’t be afraid to cut ties with people who don’t bring out the best in you. Make sure the people in your life are encouraging and supportive. Surround yourself with positive people who want to see you succeed. Choose wisely and your life will be enriched!
Not all friendships are meant to last forever.
Like most things in life, friendships are a give and take. We all have different amounts of time and energy to dedicate to relationships, so it’s important to be selective about the ones we choose to invest in. The friends we have in our lives now may not be there forever, but that doesn’t mean they’re not important. Sometimes, we need to let go of some friendships in order to make room for new ones. This can be hard, but it’s ultimately worth it.
Friendship is one of the most beautiful things in life. It’s a connection that we make with someone, often times without even realizing it, and it can be so special and rewarding. But not all friendships are meant to last forever. Just like any other relationship, sometimes friendships come to an end.
It can be tough when a friendship does ends, especially if you’re close to the person. But it’s important to remember that everything happens for a reason. If a friendship ends, it’s probably because it wasn’t meant to be long-term. There’s no need to dwell on what could have been – focus on the good memories and move on. Life is too short to spend time fretting over something.
It’s okay to be open and honest about the fact that you really do need new friends.

We all know that finding new friends can be tough, especially as an entrepreneur. It seems like everyone is so busy and our circles always seem to shrink. But it’s important to be open and honest about the fact that we need new friends. We’re not less than because we don’t have a huge network of people – we’re just human. And humans need social interaction. So let’s embrace our need for friendship and go out there and find some amazing people to connect with. Who knows, they might just help us take our business to the next level!
I know this was true for me. I found a circle of women on the same journey as me. Like me, they needed safe spaces to be vulnerable and to grow. They wanted to understand what was working for them and what was working against them in their every day life. They craved connection and healthy non toxic friendships. They were invoking a “Yes! I’ll take more of that, please!” type attitude because they know that they when they are able to get out of their own way they will be able to do bigger things in the world. They show up in life because they want to walk that journey with other women who feel the same way.
In order to be successful, it’s necessary to have a strong support systems.
For entrepreneurs, making new connections is key to growing our businesses. I can’t think of a better way to do it than through friendships.
No one succeeds in life entirely on their own. We all need a little help along the way, and friends are some of the most important people to have in our lives. Friends can provide us with support during difficult times, laughter when we need it, and a shoulder to cry on. They can also introduce us to new opportunities and help us grow as individuals. If you’re feeling lonely or like you could use some new friends in your life, don’t be afraid to reach out and make connections. The benefits of having friends far outweigh the negatives, so go out there and start making some new ones!
If you’re busy but you’re in the need of new friends who can support you in life and would like to be part of a group of other women doing the same take a minute now to reach out. I’ll tell you how to get in on the next one. The small investment of time will reap big rewards. Looking forward to it.
